my (second) first wedding
my friend amanda got married, and asked me to be her wedding photographer. a huge leap of faith on her part. (the only bigger leap of faith anyone could make would be to ask me to pose for their 'beefcakes of photography' calendar.) so after a few nights of restless sleep plagued by photography nightmares i ended up at the wedding with my camera in hand. these are some of the shots i came up with. i say this is my (second) first wedding, because on the only other wedding i photographed i was just an assistant. this time i was all on my own. scary stuff...but really crazy exciting as well. alright, on with the photos.
getting ready...
the ceremony...
the bride and groom...
the (not so) formals...
(we did some serious ones, but i liked these best.)
the toasts...
the dancing...
the rope swing...
yours truly...
the end of the evening...
needless to say, everyone enjoyed themselves. it was a great weekend all around and i enjoyed the challenge of being the sole photographer. i learned a lot...a whole lot, and can't thank amanda and josh enough for providing me that opportunity. you guys are completely rad!

Not too shabby ;-) I really dig candid shots soooo much more than posed ones. Will you fly back to photograph mine?? Good job!!
i think you did a really, really great job! i don't think i'll ever do a wedding alone again. it's scary. but you pulled it off! yay mac!
Is that Amanda Bell? Blast from the past!
These are beautiful shots, by the way!
why are you so incredibly talented?

Practice makes perfect an you're off to a great start. Pretty soon you'll just be known as "The Wedding Photographer". Then you can hook up with Drew Barrymore and, with a little help from Billy Idol, win her back from the loser boyfriend.
wow. your first (second) attempt was really, really good.
Awesome, dudio.
awesome photos. it's looks like a lot more fun than any wedding I've been to.
um.
punch you in the face?
Mac, these are awesome! You have such a great eye and it's a great deviation from "traditional" wedding photos. Great work. :)
